A white shirt is one of those staple pieces that you should have in your closet. It can be worn in every season in so many ways, but I especially love to wear it during the Spring & Summer months. One of the reasons I love it during the summer is because it’s good against the sun and the heat. White shirts reflect the light and uhh I live in Texas ya’ll so dark-colored clothing during the Summer is not the way to go- as it absorbs the heat. So if you need a quick and easy way to look put together then a simple white collared shirt and gold jewelry will do the trick every time. Plus to be honest, a white shirt looks good on almost everyone as it matches every skin tone.
One of the main reasons I love wearing a white shirt is because of what it represents. A white shirt embodies timeless elegance and refinement okay which is reminiscent of iconic style icons and classic Hollywood glamour. I don’t know man but you just feel like a boss when you wear it. I own quite a few in different lengths and shapes so I can choose one depending on my mood. I have several oversized white shirts, form-fitting shirts, and cropped white shirts as well.
What I love most about wearing a white shirt is that it can be worn with anything or any color and just look ugh (Chef’s Kiss) I decided to wear it here with my favorite jeans and I absolutely loved it. I decided to wear my hat as my stand-out piece to take this basic look up a notch and it did just that. I planned on wearing my heels with this look but guess who left their shoes by the front door; meeee when I tell you I was beyond upset believe me. I had two choices, either I do the shoot wearing my sandals or do the photoshoot on another day; which no one had time for that. I thought about going home but it would be a 15-minute drive and my son had to get to swim practice. So yes as you can see I continued with the shoot. I’m actually not even mad at how these photos came out. As you can see even though my shoes were super casual my white shirt completely dressed up this look which is why it’s such a good piece to own. Have I convinced yah yet?
