If you’ve been following me for a while then you know, one… I love the color orange and two I’ve had this shirt for a while and I just love it and my plan is to find a million ways to wear it. I wore it here with a polka dot skirt and I got so many compliments. I wanted to do a color block look before the Summer came to an end so I grabbed my lime green shorts and decided to pair my top with it. The easiest way to color block is simply to look around you. Your environment tells you exactly how to put colors together what you eat, nature. For example, a carrot is orange and green, and a pineapple is yellow and green. Those two colors are bomb together. Fall which is right around the corner has the most beautiful colors. The Fall leaves are burgundy and mustard, olive green all these colors can be paired together for a color block moment. Another simple way to Color-block is simply taking colors that are opposites on the color wheel and pairing them together to make complementary color combinations. So try to choose colors that are close together on the wheel, like orange, red, and pink, or which are directly across from each other, like blue and yellow.

But if you’re still too scared to color block by wearing bright colors, then try starting with a neutral base. When learning how to color block, practice by incorporating a neutral color as the foundation of your outfit. Neutral shades like black, white, gray, or beige can help anchor your color-blocked moment and aide in creating a cohesive look.

I hope that was helpful, and if all else fails -just wear what you want if it feels good to you; then do it. Break the damn rules.
