Best Skincare for Women 30-40: Ultimate Guide

skincare, vitamin c, retinol, over 30 skincare, smooth skin, glowy skin, timeless skin,

As women age, their skin undergoes various changes that may require different skincare products than those used in their 20s. At the age of 30-40, it is essential to take care of your skin to maintain its health and prevent premature aging. In this blog post, we will discuss the top skincare products that every 30-40 year old woman should use to achieve healthy and youthful-looking skin.

Cleanser

A gentle and effective cleanser is essential for every skincare routine, regardless of age. For women in their 30s and 40s, a cleanser that contains hydrating and anti-aging ingredients is recommended. Look for cleansers that contain glycolic acid or salicylic acid to exfoliate the skin, hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin, and antioxidants like vitamins C and E to protect the skin from environmental damage.

Vitamin C

Serum Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that helps to brighten the skin, reduce dark spots, and protect against environmental damage. A vitamin C serum is an excellent addition to any skincare routine, especially for women in their 30s and 40s. It helps to promote collagen production, which reduces fine lines and wrinkles and evens out the skin tone.

Retinol Cream

Retinol is a derivative of vitamin A and is one of the most effective anti-aging ingredients. It helps to increase collagen production, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and even out the skin tone. A retinol cream is a must-have for women in their 30s and 40s who want to maintain youthful-looking skin. However, it’s important to start with a low concentration and gradually increase usage to avoid skin irritation.

Eye Cream

The skin around the eyes is delicate and prone to aging. Therefore, using an eye cream is essential for women in their 30s and 40s. Look for eye creams that contain hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and caffeine. These ingredients help to hydrate the skin, reduce dark circles, and puffiness and brighten the eye area.

Sunscreen

Sun damage is one of the leading causes of premature aging. Therefore, using sunscreen daily is a must for every age group. However, as women age, they may need a higher SPF and sunscreen that contains antioxidants like vitamin E and niacinamide. These ingredients help to protect the skin from environmental damage and prevent further aging.

In conclusion, as women age, their skin requires different skincare products to maintain its health and youthfulness. A gentle cleanser, vitamin C serum, retinol cream, eye cream, and sunscreen are the top skincare products that every 30-40 year old woman should use. Remember to always patch test new products and consult with a dermatologist if you have any concerns about your skincare routine.

I wear it for my Instagram/ blog pictures also If I have an event to attend this is the look, with maybe a bit of shimmer for some razzle dazzle hahah. It’s hilarious to me though because if you could see the amount of screenshots in my phone with different makeup looks that I told myself I would try; and never do, ugh. 3 Makeup Products Every Girl Needs

Hey My Loves,

I’m no gatekeeper so I’m going to share 3 makeup products that every girl needs in her makeup bag.

Product Links:

  1. Makeup Primer {Here} {Here}
  2. Setting Powder {Here} {Here}
  3. Setting Spray {Here}

Makeup Primer:

Makeup Primer is what goes on before your foundation. A makeup primer is going to make sure your makeup doesn’t slip and slide. Invest in a good makeup primer, ladies. My favorite is from the brand Milk Makeup and Elf.

Setting Powder:

A setting powder is very necessary; it’s what helps your makeup to in fact set. However you don’t have to set/bake for a long time, just enough to be sure your makeup stays put. I love Laura Mercier and Huda Beauty.

Setting Spray:

The setting spray is a crucial part to your makeup routine, it’s basically the finishing touch. Your setting spray is what’s going to give your makeup that air brush look that we all love and your makeup will last for hours. I swear by the setting spray from Urban Decay.

Let me know in the comments what your holy grail products are.

8 Ways To Look More Beautiful

8 Ways To Look More Beautiful

Hey My loves,

We have less than 2 months left before we enter into a new year and I’m here to say let’s make these last couple of weeks the best months of our lives. Let’s try to feel better… look better.. simply- let’s just try to look more beautiful. I’ve been working from home for a while now and I will say it’s hard sometimes to motivate yourself to dress up while at home but these simple tips that I’m about to share with you guys right now don’t involve you putting on makeup or buying fancy clothes any of that stuff. Although that can help too.

Look More Beautiful by Avoiding the Sun

If you’ve been following me for a while and watching my Instagram stories; then you know how I feel about Sun hats. I wear them religiously. I do walk almost daily unless the weather prohibits me from going out. But I try my best to only go out during the morning hours when the Sun is not too damaging and I for sure wear hats. Did you know damage from the sun’s UV light (UVA and UVB rays) is responsible for about 90% of your skin’s visible signs of aging? UV rays break down the elastin in your skin, causing a saggy and dull appearance, wrinkles, age spots, and uneven skin tone. Oh, might I add the Sun is still out on cloudy days so be sure to wear your sunscreen and hats always.

Look More Beautiful By Staying Hydrated.

I can’t stress this enough; I swear it’s not cliche. Drink your water plenty of it, not only is it good for you but it helps to keep a youthful appearance on your skin. Dehydration can cause your skin to look flaky and dry — which only emphasizes wrinkles and aging. Drinking enough water each day replenishes your skin’s tissue and cells, allowing for younger and healthier-looking skin.

Glow Baby. (Keep Moisturized)

So just like we need water to stay hydrated from the inside out. We also need to be sure we’re using the right kind of moisturizer consistently. A well-moisturized skin looks way more beautiful than dry ashy flaky skin. It is also stronger and better able to fight off any irritants from our environment.  Not all moisturizers and Creams are created equal.  It is important to use Clinical Grade products with better absorption and penetration into the skin and higher active ingredients for best results, backed by clinical studies proven to treat and protect the skin. I love ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and ceramides.

Eat A Well Balanced Diet.

I won’t preach to you about this, but I will say to try to eat more vegetables than meat during the week. There are tremendous benefits to eating fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables also up your intake of phytonutrients, which help your body ward off the damaging effects of free radicals found in the environment.

Limit Alcohol & Caffeine

We all know too much of anything isn’t good right? Well, too much Alcohol and or caffeine isn’t good either. I actually don’t drink alcohol really as I rather eat my calories hahaha and I’m not much of a coffee person. I usually do Decaf. But both can dehydrate your body and rob it of key nutrients. What’s even worse is that some of these effects can be permanent and can show up on your skin.

Sleep!!!

Mehnnn I know for sure I’m getting older if I’m including sleep, lol. You guys for the longest time I dreaded sleeping lol I never wanted the day to be over I wanted to stay up and watch movies or work on my blog- anything but sleep. But now I’ve realized that is the worst thing I could ever do to my body. Your body needs sleep as much as you need to breathe and eat. When you’re sleeping, your body continuously releases hormones that promote cell turnover and renewal. So be sure to take advantage of that time. It’s important to apply retinol at night to really make it impactful. Invest in a satin pillowcase as well as this really does wonders for your skin.

Move That Body

Moving your body every day is pretty much a bulletproof way to look youthful and beautiful. Staying active is helpful in maintaining a healthy weight, you can simply just walk in your neighborhood for a few minutes a day and that alone will help a ton. Exercising also increases blood flow, moving oxygen and critical nutrients throughout your body, which leads to a more youthful appearance. regular exercise is critical to maintaining strength and muscle mass, which can add years to your lifespan.

Develop A Skincare Routine.

A skincare routine is crucial to looking younger and more beautiful. It is so much easier to help prevent the damage before it begins. Always use a gentle cleanser and exfoliant, and make sure that you’re using quality treatments and serums for your skin type and needs. And moisturize daily to increase your skin’s elasticity and keep it hydrated. My Skincare Video {Here}
